Fees

The fees for the various graduate programmes vary depending on the courses and the schools offering them.

Postgraduate diplomas in Media and Communication

The fees for the programmes, which cover tuition, course materials, (no textbook), uses of ancillary facilities, etc., are as follows:

  1. MULTIMEDIA JOURNALISM: 924, 000(Nine hundred and twenty-four thousand naira only)
  1. COMMUNITY RELATIONS: ₦990, 000 (Nine hundred and ninety thousand, naira only)
  1. DIGITAL MEDIA & PRODUCTION: ₦1, 064, 800(One million and sixty-four thousand, eight hundred naira only)

However, these fees can be paid instalmentally as follows:

The payment plan options are as follows:

1)       Plan 1: Full payment at the beginning of the programme attracts 2.5% discount (plan ‘A’)

2)       Plan 2: Payment in two instalments attracts 1% discount each (that is 50% payment plan ‘B’)

3)       Plan 3: Plan ‘C’

– Multimedia Journalism: ₦312, 000 naira is paid at the beginning of the semester, and the balance of ₦150, 000 could be paid in three months at ₦50, 000 naira monthly. This will be applicable also in the 2nd semester.

– Community Relations: ₦345, 000 naira is paid at the beginning of the semester, and the balance of ₦150, 000 could be paid in three months at ₦50, 000 naira monthly. This will be applicable also in the 2nd semester.

Digital Media and Production; ₦382, 400 naira is paid at the beginning of the semester, and the balance of ₦150, 000 could be paid in three months at ₦50, 000 naira monthly. This will be applicable also in the 2nd semester.

Full-time M.Sc. in Media and Communication
The fee for the programme covers tuition, course materials (no textbook), the use of ancillary facilities, etc., and it is ₦2, 013, 000

Payment Plans:

  • Plan A:     FULL TUITION FEES: ₦2, 013,000 with 2.5% discount (₦1, 962,675)
  • Plan B:     1ST SEMESTER FEES: ₦1006, 500

2ND SEMESTER FEES: ₦1006, 500

  • Plan C:     1st Installment : ₦606,000 (upon admission in September 2016)

2nd Installment: ₦200, 000 (November 2016)

3rd Installment: ₦200, 000    (January 2017)

(The same fees is applicable in the 2nd semester)

Part-time M.Sc. in Media and Communication

The fee for the programme covers tuition, course materials (no textbook), the use of ancillary facilities, etc., and it is ₦3, 306,713

Payment Plans:

  • Plan A:   FULL TUITION FEES: ₦3, 306,713 with 2.5% discount (₦3, 224, 045).

The discount is applicable if payment is made upon admission in September 2016.

  • Plan B:   PER SEMESTER FULL FEES: ₦826, 679
  • Plan C:    PER SEMESTER INSTALLMENTAL FEES:

1st Installment: ₦626, 679 (upon Admission in September 2016)

2nd Installment: ₦200, 000 (Six weeks to the semester examination January 2017)

(The same is applicable in the remaining three semesters)

PhD in Media and Communication

The fees for the programme cover tuition, course materials, (with the exception of textbooks), and the use of ancillary facilities. The details of the fees are as follows:

Full tuition fees per session: ₦1, 800, 000 (One Million, Eight Hundred Thousand Naira)

Please note that this fee applies to the first year. The fees for subsequent sessions, is subject to upward review.

Payment for each session can be made in full at the beginning of the session or in various installments. The three options of payment are indicated below. Note that discounts are available only for the options of Plan A and Plan B.

Plan A:    Full tuition fees for the session:          ₦1, 800,000 with 5% discount

Plan B:    

1st semester fees:                                                       ₦900, 000 with 2% discount

2nd semester fees:                                                     ₦900, 000 with 2% discount

Plan C:    

1st installment:                                                          ₦500, 000 (upon admission in September, 2016)

2nd installment:                                                        ₦400, 000 (six weeks to the examinations)

(The same structure is applicable in the 2nd semester)

PhD in Management

Typically, financial support is provided on the basis of merit, to the PhD in management students in the form of Research Assistantship. The support covers all fees and provides a significant additional stipend to the students to cover living expenses and medical benefit, in the form of health insurance with one the leading HMOs in the country. Financial support for foreign research and exchange programmes are also included. The financial support decision is only made after the offer of admission to the students.
